A protocol has
been proposed by the curators of the bryophytes collection in PC.
The
aims of this protocol are (1) to respect the choices of
management of the bryophytes collection, especially to preserve the
integrability of the collections and (2) to facilitate the
accessibility of all the specimen of a given taxon.
This
protocol is defined by the following steps :

Since february 2018, Lionel Kervran (MNHN) and Elodie Dubuisson (MNHN,
Sorbonne Université) have been reviewing all the PC collections.
Lionel evaluated to around 15 % of
the Malagasy specimen which are informatised in the SONERAT database.
More than 2100 specimens were located (2142), and 1452 new records were created in the SONNERAT database. These specimens represent 463 names (names of taxa, without any systematic revision).
